Your options

Repair, reroute or repipe

We find the problem, explain the tradeoffs, and give you one fixed price for the option you choose.

Slab leak spot repair

We open the floor at the leak and fix the line. Best for a single leak in otherwise healthy pipe.

Slab leak reroute

We abandon the leaking line under the slab and run a new one through the walls or attic, so your floors stay intact.

Whole-home repipe

New supply lines throughout the house. The long-term fix when galvanized or aging copper is failing everywhere.

PEX repiping

Flexible, faster to install and fewer wall openings. A popular choice for most single-family homes.

Copper repiping

The traditional choice with a long track record. We'll tell you when copper is worth the extra cost.

Permits & inspection

We pull permits and handle inspections on every repipe.

Warning signs

Signs you may need a repipe or have a slab leak

Many Southern California homes still run on original galvanized or aging copper pipe. Watch for these.

  1. A warm spot on the floor

A hot water line leaking under the slab often shows up as a warm patch.

  2. Water running when everything is off

If you hear water or your meter moves with all fixtures off, you likely have a hidden leak.

  3. A water bill that jumped

An unexplained increase is one of the first signs of a slab leak.

  4. Low pressure or rusty water

Corroded galvanized pipe narrows inside and discolors water.

  5. Repeated pinhole leaks

More than one leak in a few years usually means the whole system is wearing out.

  6. Galvanized or original pipes

Homes with original galvanized plumbing are prime candidates for a repipe.

PEX vs. copper

Choosing the right pipe for your home

PEX

Lower cost, quicker install and fewer wall openings. Flexible pipe that handles Southern California homes well.

Copper

The long-standing standard. Higher material cost, durable, and preferred by some homeowners.

FAQ

Common questions about repiping & slab leaks

How long does a whole-home repipe take?

Most single-family repipes take a few days. In most cases you'll have water at the end of each workday.

Is a reroute better than repairing a slab leak?

Often, yes. A reroute avoids breaking up your floors and replaces the failing line. It depends on where the line runs, which we check during the estimate.

PEX or copper: which should I choose?

Both meet code. PEX costs less and installs faster with fewer wall openings; copper is the traditional choice. We'll explain the tradeoffs for your home.

Do you patch drywall after a repipe?

Let us know during the estimate and we'll include the wall repair you need in the scope.

How do I know if I have a slab leak?

Common signs are a warm spot on the floor, the sound of running water with everything off, a jump in your water bill, or a water meter that moves when no fixtures are on.
